Robbie Gentry retired from her career in the travel agency business to pursue her love of glasswork. Although she started out making stained glass pieces, she discovered lamp work beads and had to learn the technique. Five years later she not only conquered this technique, she teaches others how to create their own lamp work beads. She makes a spooky and fashionable Halloween bracelet.

Materials:

mandrels
tweezers
2 graphite paddles
mini mashers
flat marver
paring knife
soft effetre glass rods:
- yellow ocher
- dark gray
- white, black
- Nile green
- yellow
- orange
vermiculite in heated container
bead release
beading tray
jewelry wire
needle nose pliers
flat nose pliers
sterling silver beads
toggle clasp
Soft Flex .019 beading wire
didymium safety glasses
oxygen propane torch
sparker for lighting torch
drill with diamond bit and boring bit
kiln

Steps:

1. Ignite the firing torch using a sparker or barbeque lighter.

2. Dip mandrels in bead release.
