Love Door Wreath

Yes, the Beatles were right. All you need is love. And so, this Valentine's Day, spread the word with this sentimental wreath.

Materials:

16-gauge wire
thinner florist wire
tinted excelsior (available at craft stores)
dried flower stems (larkspur was used for this project)
monofilament fishing line
floral fixative spray
craft glue

Steps:

1. Using stiff wire, make a frame in the shape of the planned image.
2. Bulk up the frame using excelsior tied on with thin florist's wire. (Tinted excelsior is available at craft stores.)
3. Fix a hanging loop on the back positioned to let the project hang level.
4. Tuck stems of dried flowers under the wires of the excelsior-covered frame.
5. Secure fishing line to the frame and carefully wrap it over the shape to better position and hold the flowers.
6. Spray the project with fixative and reattach any lost blossoms with craft glue.
